Have you been so busy trying to make a contribution to the world that you forget to pause until you are on the verge of burnout?
Your focus on doing great work gives you purpose, but you need to take occasional time-outs to reset and renew. When you let yourself crash and burn, your work suffers as much as your body, heart and mind. Taking the time to "disconnect" from the world around you helps you "reconnect" with your self and your inner guidance to help make choices that are in line with your values. It helps you to become more proactive instead of reactive.
Does this sound familiar?
You got into your work because you wanted to make a difference, but you notice there’s a lot of stuff about the work that feels meaningless -- endless paperwork, writing useless reports, etc.
You are constantly on information overload, and the state of the world has left you feeling disillusioned.
You want to make the most powerful choices, but it's hard to know where to begin with all the noise out there.
When you do set aside time to "disconnect," you find yourself either sneaking in work, vegging out on Netflix, or endlessly scrolling Facebook.
- When you try to plan for a retreat away, you get bogged down by too many choices and give up.
Relax, we've got you covered!
I've teamed up with retired Unitarian Universalist Minister, Linda Weaver Horton (AKA mom), to create done-for-you seasonal retreat guides.
We've combined Linda's expertise in ritual, spiritual practices and expressive arts therapy with my big-picture and bullet point teaching approach to create an accessible transformational experience. We have taken the time to plan and prepare so you don't have to.
In each seasonal Reconnect Retreat, you will find:
- Three done-for-you half-day modules that can be done separately or combined for a weekend retreat.
- Clear guidelines for preparation, materials and everything you need to get started.
- Simple, accessible and straightforward practices put together in a cohesive experience.
- Creative exploration and contemplation exercises.
- Considerations for bringing your retreat experience into your every day life.
- A guide to using essential oils to enhance and deepen your healing experience.
- A recommended reading list
- And more!
We have three Reconnect Retreat options available for your convenience:
Reconnect Retreat pdf guides: This offers you the ultimate in flexibility of time and place. The retreat guides are released in monthly 1/2 day modules that can combine into a seasonal weekend retreat. You can access the guides, and other tools to harness the power of your intensity, by joining my Patreon community for just $5 a month. Patreon is an online platform designed to help support creators in their work and receive exclusive content in return. You can also find my Ignite Your Power course, previously only available through 1:1 coaching, as well as accessible options for individual coaching.
Retreat Package at Quinn Mountain: Quinn Mountain Retreat is our small Bed and Breakfast in the Columbia River Gorge, which can be booked through AirBnB. When you book a room at Quinn Mountain, you can add a retreat package for $25, which includes all the materials you need for your retreat, plus access to the Quinn Mountain retreat library. You can also book a personal reiki healing session with essential oils, coaching, and other creative expression activities as they are made available. Meals outside of breakfast are not included.
Retreat Box: We have also put together a retreat kit with the printed book and basic materials needed for your time away that will be sent to you for free when you purchase a doTerra Essential Oils starter kit. The guide shares how you can use specific oils in the basic kits to facilitate deeper emotional healing on your retreat. You will also receive a custom essential oil blend made for your unique healing needs, a private 1:1 session with me, access to an exclusive Facebook community, and the Kindle edition of Essentials of the Earth, my go-to reference for all essential oil needs.
I'm pleased and honored to have been one of the advance readers for the retreat guides. They're very inspiring! Sure, I say I'm going "to take time for myself" and then flounder with what I'm going to do. The last time I tried this I went to the coast and ended up working most of the time - NOT the intention! These guides are the perfect antidote - Aurora & Linda simultaneously provide guidance and yet still give you room to explore on your own. This is a wonderful way to do a seasonal check in!
I spent a delightful weekend in the suite at Quinn Mountain Retreat. I was there for an "unconference" and it was very hard to leave! The Holtzmans are delightful hosts. The suite was cozy and beautifully decorated, the bed was incredibly comfortable - did I mention I didn't want to leave? I look forward to going back soon! ~ Alesia Zorn, Calligrapher
